Riverside Development, Newhaven

Hudson Madigan we’re appointed to re-work an outline approval for 66 properties on this prominent river frontage in Newhaven, East Sussex. The resulting scheme moved the focus of the design to the riverside,  creating a series of staggered, gable-fronted blocks with balconies over-looking the water. The aesthetic draws heavily on the tradition of riverside warehouses, creating a striking development that sits comfortably in the existing context whilst paving the way for future development of the adjacent council depot to create a riverside walk into the town centre.

An application for planning permission was submitted in 2023 and is currently being decided.
